spring break buddies

i am so sad that spring break is over! we didn't go anywhere amazing, or do anything crazy...but these two girls had the time of their lives. they played played played all day every day. i wouldn't see them or hear them for a long time, and they would always be doing something fun with each other. they spent a good majority of the time out back in swimsuits with water balloons, or the hose down the slide. this swing is their new fave...only if they are on it together. little munchkins.

March 21...vote for us!

Ok...so strange. I fell asleep last night and Nate woke me up when he went to bed saying something about someone had just seen us on the news for the Stupid Human Tricks on Letterman. I was obviously out-of-it...and I just went back to sleep. But I looked on the CBS website today...and apparently it's a vote-off for the best trick!

On March 21st we are up against a gum-spitting woman. Which OBVIOUSLY sticking a fork up your nose and feeding your wife spaghetti off of it TRUMPS that, right? ;o) Soooooo.....

COME BACK HERE ON SUNDAY, CLICK THIS LINK, REGISTER AND VOTE!

Besides, if you vote you could win a trip to NYC. Or just go to the Letterman show website and register and vote.

And of course, if you need a little refresher, here it is:

match-ness

Wooo-hoooo....Nate Matched!

We are going to_____________ for residency!! (fill-in-the-blank this Thursday morning.)

Anti-climatic...I KNOW! I don't think I am going to make it until we find out on Thursday! Not sane at least. Anyways...stay tuned for the news on Thursday....

[For those that don't know...they tell you IF you matched or not for the MD match today, and then they tell you WHERE you matched this coming Thursday. Stress!]

go abby go!

So Abby has a cute little bike. And yes it still had training wheels on it. Because taking them off and teaching her to ride a bike would take effort. Energy. Time. I know, I know, I'm lazy. And my laziness was questioned by a sweet 4 year old, that wanted her friend to learn how to ride a bike like she can. Abby's friend was over, and we had a converstaion that went something like this:

Friend: When can Abby take her training wheels off?

Me: (being lazy) Well, I don't know.

Friend: She can learn to ride her bike so fast...I learned in one day. If she just keeps trying she'll learn!

Me: Well, maybe her Daddy can take the training wheels off.

Friend: Why can't you take them off?

Me: (being lazy AGAIN) Because you have to use a lot of tools to take them off.

Friend: Why can't YOU use the tools to take them off?

Okay...so I finally caved. And this is the result.

GO ABBY! How on EARTH do kids learn so fast?!

Her friend was soooo cute. She was holding her bike and walking with her and teaching her how to ride.

Thought this was funny...it's hard work trying to keep up!!

parade time..again

Caitlin was in another parade on Saturday with her dance 'studio'. This one was super strict...no one under the age of 8 was allowed to march..they had to be on a float. (Oh yeah...and no candy allowed. WHAT is a parade without candy?! Honestly.) She was super bummed...and tried to beg her teacher to let her march. Her teacher informed her that she doesn't exactly look like she's 8..or 7...or 6 for that matter. This one was 1.5 miles long, and we were at the very end so we could pick her up right after she passed. You can tell the girls were all pooped out by the time they got to us...she was one of the only ones on the float still doing the 'dance'. She had fun though, and the weather was PERFECT!

The girls and Grandma Debbie waiting for the parade to start.
