june

we've painted doors
(easier said than done...this was try 3)
we've celebrated birthdays with ice cream for breakfast
and free birthday firehouse subs for lunch
and kept celebrating at chuck e cheese's

 more celebrating at home

we've dressed up patriotic for art city days
decorated bikes and rode in the children's parade

we've been to elko on the way to grass valley
we've bathed with 5 cuties all together (at the 'apple resort')
we've woken up to this view out our door at the 'apple resort'
 and this view...amazing
splashed in their pool (that they emptied halfway so the kids could play in it)
we've thrown babies in the air
rode on daddy's back to watch the nevada city soapbox derby

we've caught butterflies on our hand (and it stayed on her hand for almost an hour)

we've hung out with awesome family at the soapbox derby
played in the sandbox several times daily at the apple's house
we've lounged in the hammock with uncle gary (again at the 'apple resort')

played at the beach at scott's flatts (while daddy went sailing on the catamaran with travis)

 showed off our breath-holding-under-water skills

we've played with cute cousin kimmy, lily, and ryan

the 'olds' hahahahahaaaaa enjoying the evening
we've played in the water of the 'sand-wash-off-before-you-get-in-the-pool' tub
and this little guy has been lucky enough to play in the sandbox (as long as his binkie stayed in his mouth)
caught hundreds of little frogs in bob and pauline's pond in their back yard

we've seen bears, and even got them to stand still long enough for a picture!
june has been a whirlwind of friends, family, and fun. we can't thank the apples-murphys-ballards for all their great hospitality, awesome food, amazing events and fun. greyson is CRAWLING, (pics/videos to come soon), the girls are having a blast this summer, and i am just trying to soak up the summer warmth while still trying to keep this house in working order. we LOVE summers in this household!!

seven

happy 7th birthday to the most wonderful sweet abby!
life wouldn't be the same without your sweet smile, your giggles, the help you give mommy, and your love of your brother and sisters. you make us all SO happy abs, we love you forever!
i am so grateful that Heavenly Father let ME be your momma.
there are words to a song that when i hear it, i always hope and pray you (and your sisters and brother) will always think about when you grow through the years:
When I see your face,
There's not a thing that I would change.
'Cause you're amazing-
Just the way you are.
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for a while,
'Cause girl you're amazing-
Just the way you are.
Oh you know, you know, you know
I'd never ask you to change.
If perfect's what your're searching for
Then just stay the same.
'Cause you're amazing-
Just the way you are.

Oh...and p.s. Abby: please stop growing up so fast!!

catchin' up

Provo Dance Competition
One of the last dance competitions for the girls. They LOVED dance this year, but I am extremely glad it's over!!

Caitlin's Hershey Track Meet
Caitlin did awesome at her track meet for third graders.
Don't worry mom...I'll just hold it all day for ya. Funny kid.
Good job Cait!

Emma's Preschool Graduation
Emma's little class did the story of the 3 little pigs for graduation. Such a cute idea!
I keep telling her to stop growing up. She just isn't listening!!

Busted!
Nate and his new baby. And YES I love his truck. I'm trying to convince him to trade me for the van!

This kid could live outside. Literally. He is never happier than just hanging outside with the fam.

Mother's Day - Birthday - St. George - Zion
Nate had a weekend shift in St. George over Mother's Day/my Birthday weekend. We played and stayed cool in the pool, then we went to Zion to hike the narrows for my birthday.

The girls in their 'nest' at the hotel. Tradition.
We LOVE meeting up with Erica in St. George!!
Palm trees and the pool. A must in life.
Zion!! The kids were such troopers!
Shuttle ride to start hiking to the Narrows.

Little troopers! The hike in to the narrows was a mile, and they did awesome!
 Double duty. What a man!!

It was sooooo beautiful in the Narrows!

 Mini-me.

Can I just say that these girls were out-hiking, out-exploring, out-braving even the 20-year-old boys that were trying to hike the narrows?! The water level was rather high (to Abby's neck a lot of the way) and the girls were so brave. We had a blast!

Dance is OVER!
Company B class. Love these girls!
End of year recital, girls did amazing.

Sweet teachers, you will be missed!

School's Out!
Gifts for their teachers. (Super easy and cheap!)
Field day...fire truck comes and sprays them all with water for about 20 minutes. (Too bad it was rather cold that day!)
 Ashlyn, Abs, Caitlin, Janalee
Abby's cute table, sweet kids! (sad to see the bare walls!)
One of the best teachers in dance! Thanks Celestial!!
The dance studio owner. She wasn't all too happy when we broke the news that we wouldn't be doing dance next year. oooops.
 Cait's class...
Abby's teacher #1 (had a baby in March)
Abby's teacher #2 (covered for the teacher with the babe)
 Aaaannnnndddd....
