three already!!

our little emma is THREE years old already! it seems like yesterday she was just a baby. ok, let's be honest...it DOES seem like it's been three years. not because she's been a hard child at all, just because in those 3 years we've lived in 3 different states, gone from medical school to residency, etc...

a few emma-isms of late:

• emma LOVES to sing. she sings all. the. time. the other day she was crying in her room, and we were all laughing because through crying she was still singing a high school musical song.
• emma is stubbornly independent. she wants to do everything by herself. if you even offer to help, she is offended.
• emma is FUNNY. she has the sense of humor of an adult, and she just makes us laugh non-stop.
• emma still loves company in nursery. in other words, YES she is 3 and she still won't go to nursery the whole time by herself. and no it's not because we don't let her cry it out. if we leave her, they come get us after she's been screaming so long they can't take it. oh emma, we love you.
• emma's favorite things to do are be outside, dress-up, and play dolls.

we just love our little eeems, and i can't imagine life without her. i am so grateful for the past 3 years of my life that have been blessed with her in it.
