Provo Dance Competition

One of the last dance competitions for the girls. They LOVED dance this year, but I am extremely glad it's over!!

 Emma's little class did the story of the 3 little pigs for graduation. Such a cute idea!

Mother's Day - Birthday - St. George - Zion

Nate had a weekend shift in St. George over Mother's Day/my Birthday weekend. We played and stayed cool in the pool, then we went to Zion to hike the narrows for my birthday.

 Can I just say that these girls were out-hiking, out-exploring, out-braving even the 20-year-old boys that were trying to hike the narrows?! The water level was rather high (to Abby's neck a lot of the way) and the girls were so brave. We had a blast!

 Field day...fire truck comes and sprays them all with water for about 20 minutes. (Too bad it was rather cold that day!)

cut, comp., crazy hair

 it was fun to have caitlin and abby be in their school talent show, but even more fun to not have to plan anything. they just tweaked one of their competition pieces for only 2 people and performed it. 

 the girls had yet another competition. this time their little class took 1st overall for the whole day (30+companies) for their lyrical piece. they did awesome!

 it was at clearfield high school, which is super close to my sister sarah's house. so her and aubrey came along to help and cheer the girls on.

 time for water balloons. i love this warm early spring weather.

 i was testing out how my new (albeit cheap) camera does with motion. nate launched this waterballoon super high to try to hit the girls on the tramp. pretty good job for a cheap camera.

 this sweet boy turned 9 months last week. NINE MONTHS!! he is such a sweetheart. we've finally got him on zantac for silent reflux, and that has helped his sleeping issues IMMENSELY. he is also on iron because well, the kid refuses to eat solid foods. so he's still strictly nursing. (which drives his mother crazy). his 9 month check up stats are:

27.5 inches long, 25th%

20 lbs (still), 25th%

(weird...i didn't realize most 9 month-olds are over 20 lbs?)

46.1 cm head, 75th %

 along with being a big 9 month old chub of love, his hair was proving to be out of control on a regular basis. so i tried my hand at cutting it. (or tried my clippers at it i should say). not perfect, but cute enough!

easter egg fun

 we were in st. george for easter, so the easter bunny hid eggs a few days early.

 first easter, the 'easter bunny' gave him this little monkey that makes monkey noises when you move it. little did the 'easter bunny' know there is candy in it too. and the monkey poops the candy out it's bum. lovely.

 st. george baby! greyson's 1st time swimming, this kid LOVES water! he could've stayed in the pool all day.

 st. george splash pad/river park thing downtown. and this water was COLD...not heated at all. he still loved it.

 any time he sees me with the camera and i call his name, he gives me that super cheeser face. it's getting hard for me to get a NORMAL face pic of this little monkey!

 *the picture above is the LAST picture taken before i obliterated my camera. notice the smooth cement behind the stroller in the picture? ever walked on super smooth cement with super wet old navy flip-flops on? i have. with my camera dangling from my wrist. and i did a full spin-turf-on-my face, and my camera slammed into the cement with full-force. the end of my fun, cute, pink, nice point-and-shoot canon. boo. (and yes, i had an audience of everyone at the park to boot. lucky me.)

poor nate, with general conference, him being on-call for 30 hours through his birthday, emma's birthday right before, and caitlin's birthday right after...his birthday gets pushed under the rug a lot. BUT..he turned the big 33 this year, and the day he was born is something i celebrate in my life. i love this man with all of my heart. this is honestly going to go down in our history as the busiest year of our life together. but we're hanging on to each other, and life will slow down i'm sure.
