Picture Update

Warning: Picture and video mania! I haven't had the time to load videos on here lately..so here's a few to catch up. And a whole lot of pictures too! Our internet is being shut off tomorrow because we're moving, so I figured I'd get a whole bunch on here!

Sparklers bebe!4th of July parade in Kirksville. Ok..so not to be UNpatriotic...but I've been to MANY small town parades on the 4th...and this one was not-so-grand! It was about 15 political campaign people handing out flyers and candy..and then a random truck pulling a trailer with hay bales covered in blue tarps with people sitting on it. When the last 'float' went by...we could not believe that was it! At least we got to chill with friends there. Ah well...better luck next time!

Three Months!

Now! Yee-hawww...bring on the chub-a-licious-ness!!!

Emma is 3 months old! (Ok..not today, but as of a few days ago. Let's pretend like I'm not behind though...) I can't believe that time has gone by so fast. It seems with all of our girls, once 3 months hits, everything is back to normal again. They figure out a nice sleeping schedule, they smile, they laugh, they are so happy and enjoyable! Emma is still such a sweet smiley baby. She goes to bed at 9pm, eats twice at night, and wakes up at 9am. She takes several cat naps during the day, and is just a joy all day long. She's been doing so well on her 'tummy time', and she's just a trooper no matter where the day takes us. We love you little Emma Jo!

We are getting so excited to move, yet so sad to leave all of our sweet friends in Kirksville! The weather here has been so pleasant, I don't think it's been above 90 so far. We are going to have 'baptism by fire' (literally!) when we get to AZ at the end of July! Ooooooo-eeeeee dawgies...bring on the heat!

That Darn "Sippin' Corner"

Ok, so to the naked eye, that might not look like much of a 'corner'. Let me explain. Let's start at the beginning. When we were pregnant with Caitlin, and poor (oh wait...still poor!) I picked out a cute, yet cheap unisex crib bedding set. If I would have known that a few years down the road, Abby would be totally and completely attached to the crib quilt from that set..I would have picked out something cuter...and more girlish!

Abby became attached to that blanket as a baby. I would lay her on it in her crib for naps, and she would grab the corner and roll herself up in the blanket. She then became attached to all of the corners in general by the time she was about 12 or 18 months. I would put her down for naps and I would have to give her all 4 corners to hold. Well, she apparently sometime became attached to one corner in particular. She then labeled this corner her 'sippin corner'...and we have NO IDEA where she came up with that! Anyways, if she walks by her blanket...she has to 'sip it' as she says. She'll rub that sippin corner in between her fingers. A little interesting, but whatever.

After we had Emma, Abby reverted back to wanting to lug the huge, hot, ratted, ugly blanket to church and everywhere else. So finally FINALLY (hallelujah) we convinced Abby that Arizona is going to be much to hot for a huge blanket, so today she let me cut the 'sippin corner' part off into a smaller blanket. So far she thinks it's pretty rad (pardon my 80's french)...so hopefully it'll last!

K...so I'm trying to figure out this cutesy-blogging-thing that so many of you have down to an art! (And yes I'm jealous of each and every one of your cute blogs...) I'm trying my hand at making my blog my own, and making it the way I want it to look. So I've been changing and trying new things, and it honestly will probably look worse before it looks better. Be patient with me, ite? Just workin' on it in all my free time... ;o)
